Personally
I'm a pretty open ended guy. I can usually be found playing guitar (poorly), rooting for the Magic, cooking (poorly), and napping. I'm all about music… practically any genre, although, I'm finding myself listening more and more to music that was recorded decades before I was born.
Easily the best parts of my day are spent with my awesome son, Vaughn and my amazing wife Crista. They have a very profound way of reminding me of the important things in life and what it's all for.
Professionally
Since high school I've been building things on the internet. I started my career as a Flash Developer at PracticeLink, developing interactive presentations to assist hospitals in physician recruitment. Next, I moved to Orlando and lived out a lifelong fantasy as a QA Tester at Electronic Arts, playing video games 12 hours a day and developing a pretty serious Red Bull habit. I quickly began to miss web development and went to work for Chisano Marketing Group as a Sr. Web Developer.
I'm pretty dangerous when it comes to working with PHP, ColdFusion, Javascript, Flash, and all things XHTML/CSS. I'm a stickler for semantics, usability, accessibility, progressive enhancement, convention, organization, efficiency and simplicity. I totally dig CodeIgniter, jQuery and Wordpress and learning new ways to bend all these skills to my will and the will of my clients.
Tidbits…
- I use ellipses way too much.
- I prefer to listen before giving input.
- I'm a friendly beer snob.
- I tend to listen to 1 band/artist for weeks at a time, then never again.
- I sort my Skittles by color.
- I get a kick out of putting things together. Whether it's a bookshelf from Ikea or a Lego X-Wing, doesn't matter. I just flat out dig assembling things.
- Thanks to my wife, I know way too much about Sex and the City and Days of Our Lives.
